Today some people inspired by PK, OMG will advise not to waste milk in temples and give it to poor people.
This suggestion is good but some other points can also be discussed. Milk to Lord Shiv is 'Spirituality' and Milk to poor is 'Charity'. Both activities can not be compared and can not replace with each other. Also, Devotees are not responsible for shortage of Milk. Devotees are not responsible for poverty. Devotees already do more charity than others based on %age of income.
1. How about promoting less consumption of alcohol and doing charity with saved money.
2. How about sacrificing other forms of enjoyment and doing charity with saved money
3. How about promoting 'Earn in India - Spend in India'
4. How about taking steps to produce more milk.
5. How about do not slaughter animals which gives milk, that itself will generate lots of milk.
Abhishek milk going in drains is not a question on spiritual ritual it is rather bad management. The same milk can be used in many other forms including poos whose movies are trying to pinpoint spirituality. A big charity can be done in that way....Happy MahaShiv Ratri.....
